Released in 2015, Red Flash forms the red counterpart to Blue Shock and places Mega Mewtwo Y at the centre of the new BREAK era. Psychic energy, speed, and the contrast between Mewtwo’s two Mega forms give the paired release a clear narrative structure.

MoreLess

Mega Mewtwo Y-EX, full-art Pokémon-EX, and gold-coloured BREAK Evolutions are the main premium cards. It represents the final stage of the XY design before the game moved to Pokémon-GX. The result reads coherently in a binder, with recurring subjects and visual ideas linking everyday cards to the rarer highlights. It also provides a useful snapshot of the design, storytelling, and collecting priorities that shaped this period of the Japanese game. Red Flash joined Blue Shock and part of Legendary Shine Collection in the English BREAKthrough expansion, so the international set combines several Japanese sources.
