Bandit Ring explores powers that predate the modern Pokémon world, led by Hoopa and its ability to summon legendary creatures. Lugia, Tyranitar, Ampharos, Sceptile, and several ancient or mythical Pokémon appear across ruins, deep forests, and cosmic scenes. Shiny versions of Primal Groudon, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Gardevoir give the set a dramatic, treasure-like appearance. Hoopa-EX is the narrative centre, while Mega Tyranitar-EX, Mega Ampharos-EX, and Mega Sceptile-EX expand the Mega Evolution roster.

MoreLess

The expansion continues Ancient Traits for the final time and includes several cards that became highly useful in competitive decks. Its secret rare full-art cards are especially distinctive, using gold textures and alternate colouring to present powerful Pokémon as ancient relics. Bandit Ring feels like the culmination of the Hoenn remake period within XY, bringing together legends, Mega Evolutions, and the supernatural forces behind them. For collectors, the combination of Hoopa, shiny Mega Pokémon, and richly detailed full arts makes it one of the most visually ambitious sets of the series. The English *XY—Ancient Origins* closely follows this release but reorganises some cards, rarities, and numbering.
