The master set counts each of its 58 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 40 First Edition, 40 Unlimited, 18 First Edition Holofoil and 18 Unlimited Holofoil.

Thunder Knuckle adds an Electric- and Fighting-leaning side to Team Plasma’s campaign, led by Thundurus-EX and forceful, technology-driven battle imagery. It shares the Plasma card frame and faction mechanics of Spiral Force. Released in 2012, it gives that theme a clear place within the wider era.

MoreLess

Thundurus-EX is the main headline, joined by full-art Pokémon-EX, Team Plasma Trainers, and secret rare cards. Its clean black-border full arts helped define how premium Pokémon cards would look for years afterward. Its mixture of familiar Pokémon and period-specific presentation makes the full checklist more revealing than a glance at the chase cards alone. Viewed as a complete checklist, it balances headline cards with supporting Pokémon and artwork that reinforce its central identity. Its checklist was merged with Spiral Force for the English Plasma Freeze expansion.
