The master set counts each of its 55 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 40 First Edition, 40 Unlimited, 15 First Edition Holofoil and 15 Unlimited Holofoil.

Released in 2012, Dragon Blast introduces Dragon-type cards through a forceful selection of legendary and fully evolved Pokémon. The set leans toward raw power, with dragon imagery, high-damage attacks, and Pokémon-EX that make the new type immediately important.

MoreLess

Powerful Dragon Pokémon and full-art Pokémon-EX form the main collector group, while the new gold Dragon-type frame gives the checklist a distinctive appearance. Its clean black-border full arts helped define how premium Pokémon cards would look for years afterward. The result reads coherently in a binder, with recurring subjects and visual ideas linking everyday cards to the rarer highlights. It also provides a useful snapshot of the design, storytelling, and collecting priorities that shaped this period of the Japanese game. Its cards were merged with Dragon Blade for the English Dragons Exalted expansion.
