Dragon Blade forms the companion half of the Dragon-type debut, combining sharp, weapon-like imagery with several of Unova and Sinnoh’s strongest dragons. It expands the new type through both evolution lines and major Pokémon-EX. Released in 2012, it gives that theme a clear place within the wider era.

MoreLess

Garchomp, Rayquaza, and other Dragon favourites provide strong collector appeal, supported by the era’s full-art and secret rare treatments. Its clean black-border full arts helped define how premium Pokémon cards would look for years afterward. Beyond the best-known cards, smaller illustrations and evolution lines help complete the atmosphere of the release. That consistency gives the expansion a recognisable personality even when viewed apart from the competitive decks of its time. Dragon Blade and Dragon Blast were combined to form the English Dragons Exalted expansion.
