The master set counts 100 Reverse Holofoil, 81 Normal and 64 Holofoil. It leaves out 5 Miska Saari, 4 Hiroki Yano, 3 Jimmy Ballard, 3 Normal sold outside booster packs and 10 more in 8 other printings.

EX Unseen Forces returns to Johto and its legendary history, featuring Lugia, Ho-Oh, the three legendary beasts, and many Pokémon first introduced in the second generation. The Ruins of Alph influence is visible through a complete alphabet of Unown cards, giving the set one of the largest and most unusual collectible groups of the era. Its artwork ranges from ancient ruins to energetic battle scenes, creating a broad celebration of Johto. Its primary Japanese counterpart is Golden Sky, Silvery Ocean, with some cards, rarities, and numbering reorganized for the English release.

Lugia ex and Ho-Oh ex lead the Pokémon-ex lineup, joined by powerful cards such as Tyranitar ex, Steelix ex, and several Eeveelutions. The Gold Star cards—Entei ☆, Raikou ☆, and Suicune ☆—form a particularly desirable trio and give the legendary beasts a defining collector appearance. Unown collectors can pursue every letter, while reverse-holographic printings make a master set especially demanding. EX Unseen Forces combines nostalgia for the Neo era with the mechanics and rarity structure of the EX series. Its size, legendary lineup, and distinctive sub-collections make it one of the most ambitious and popular expansions from the mid-2000s.
