The master set counts 89 Reverse Holofoil, 78 Normal and 29 Holofoil. It leaves out 5 Curran Hill, 4 Normal sold outside booster packs, 4 Takashi Yoneda, 3 Jason Klaczynski and 11 more in 7 other printings.

EX Emerald draws from Pokémon Emerald and the Battle Frontier, bringing together many of Hoenn’s best-known Pokémon in a compact, gameplay-oriented expansion. Rayquaza, Deoxys, Groudon, and Kyogre appear alongside the region’s starter evolutions and a broad selection of familiar species. The artwork mixes natural Hoenn environments with the competitive atmosphere associated with the Battle Frontier. It has no single Japanese expansion counterpart, instead drawing from Gift Box Emerald, Quick Construction Packs, Master Kit, and promotional cards.

The Pokémon-ex lineup includes Deoxys ex, Dusclops ex, Medicham ex, Milotic ex, Regice ex, Regirock ex, Registeel ex, and several others, giving the set an unusually deep selection of powerful cards. It is also notable for introducing holographic Basic Energy cards to English booster packs, with each Energy featuring a Pokémon silhouette and set numbering. Those energies became attractive finishing pieces for decks and collections. While EX Emerald lacks Gold Star Pokémon, it compensates with broad playability and a strong representation of Hoenn’s legendary and fully evolved Pokémon. The expansion feels like a summary of the region at its competitive peak rather than a narrowly themed side story.
