The master set counts each of its 63 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 48 First Edition, 48 Unlimited, 15 First Edition Holofoil and 15 Unlimited Holofoil.

Released in 2013, Collection Y launches alongside Collection X and takes its identity from Yveltal, darker Kalos themes, and Pokémon associated with Pokémon Y. Mega Blastoise-EX connects the new generation to a classic Kanto favourite while Pokémon-EX and Mega Evolution define the gameplay.

MoreLess

Yveltal-EX and Mega Blastoise-EX provide the clearest collector centrepieces, joined by the Kalos starters and a range of full-art cards. The mix of dramatic transformations and bright full-card artwork gives the set an unmistakable mid-2010s identity. For set collectors, the supporting checklist matters almost as much as the headline pulls because it carries the theme from card to card. The expansion therefore works well as a self-contained binder project as well as a chapter in the wider history of the game. Its card pool was merged with Collection X for the English XY expansion, with changed numbering and a broader combined checklist.
