Lost Link introduces the Lost Zone as a strong visual and mechanical theme, with Pokémon and Trainer cards built around removing cards from ordinary play. Its compact checklist gives the experimental idea more focus than it received in the surrounding main sets. Its smaller enhanced-expansion format gives the card list a tighter theme than the era’s main releases.

Gengar Prime is the best-known card, joined by other Pokémon Prime and unusual strategies that interact with the Lost Zone. Because the era was brief, each release contributes a noticeable share of its most recognisable cards. Viewed as a complete checklist, it balances headline cards with supporting Pokémon and artwork that reinforce its central identity. The result reads coherently in a binder, with recurring subjects and visual ideas linking everyday cards to the rarer highlights. The cards were later divided mainly between the English Triumphant and Call of Legends expansions.
