Split Earth uses deserts, cliffs, volcanic ground, and fractured landscapes to create one of the e-Card era’s harshest settings. Ground, Fighting, and Fire Pokémon appear naturally within scenery shaped by heat and geological force.

Its Crystal Pokémon and scarce holographic cards are major collector targets, while the expansive artwork makes complete pages visually striking. Many illustrations extend naturally into the wide lower border, making complete binder pages especially striking. Viewed as a complete checklist, it balances headline cards with supporting Pokémon and artwork that reinforce its central identity. The result reads coherently in a binder, with recurring subjects and visual ideas linking everyday cards to the rarer highlights. It also provides a useful snapshot of the design, storytelling, and collecting priorities that shaped this period of the Japanese game. Split Earth was later combined with Mysterious Mountains as the main source for the English Skyridge expansion.
