The master set counts each of its 56 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 46 First Edition, 46 Unlimited, 10 First Edition Holofoil and 10 Unlimited Holofoil.

Released in 2010, White Collection opens the Unova era alongside Black Collection, with Zekrom and the White-version side of the new region’s Pokémon roster. The set helps establish full-art cards as a premium rarity and gives the generation a sharp, modern presentation.

Zekrom’s full-art card is the main collector centrepiece, joined by the Unova starters and many species making their card debut. Its clean black-border full arts helped define how premium Pokémon cards would look for years afterward. For set collectors, the supporting checklist matters almost as much as the headline pulls because it carries the theme from card to card. The expansion therefore works well as a self-contained binder project as well as a chapter in the wider history of the game. Its cards were merged with Black Collection for the English Black & White set, with a smaller group held for Emerging Powers.
