The master set counts each of its 57 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 42 First Edition, 42 Unlimited, 15 First Edition Holofoil and 15 Unlimited Holofoil.

Hail Blizzard provides the icy counterpart to Psycho Drive, led by Kyurem and a selection of legendary or fully evolved Pokémon suited to a colder, more destructive atmosphere. It shares the return of Pokémon-EX but has a distinct wintry identity.

Kyurem-EX and other full-art Pokémon-EX provide the main chase cards, supported by secret rare alternate-colour Pokémon. Its clean black-border full arts helped define how premium Pokémon cards would look for years afterward. Viewed as a complete checklist, it balances headline cards with supporting Pokémon and artwork that reinforce its central identity. The result reads coherently in a binder, with recurring subjects and visual ideas linking everyday cards to the rarer highlights. Its cards joined Psycho Drive in the English Next Destinies expansion, where the two Japanese themes were presented as one release.
