The master set counts each of its 65 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 46 First Edition, 46 Unlimited, 19 First Edition Holofoil and 19 Unlimited Holofoil.

Cold Flare pairs with Freeze Bolt and places White Kyurem at the centre of an elemental conflict between ice and intense flame. Its card pool continues the era’s focus on powerful Basic Pokémon-EX and efficient Trainer support.

MoreLess

White Kyurem-EX provides the headline chase card, supported by full arts and secret rare alternate-colour Pokémon. Its clean black-border full arts helped define how premium Pokémon cards would look for years afterward. That consistency gives the expansion a recognisable personality even when viewed apart from the competitive decks of its time. For set collectors, the supporting checklist matters almost as much as the headline pulls because it carries the theme from card to card. The expansion therefore works well as a self-contained binder project as well as a chapter in the wider history of the game. Together with Freeze Bolt, the set supplied the core of the English Boundaries Crossed expansion.
