The master set counts each of its 83 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 56 First Edition, 56 Unlimited, 27 First Edition Holofoil and 27 Unlimited Holofoil.

Undone Seal explores ancient ruins, sealed chambers, and the mysteries surrounding Hoenn’s legendary Pokémon. Regirock, Regice, and Registeel form the thematic core, supported by Groudon, Kyogre, Jirachi, and a mixture of Pokémon associated with remote or forgotten places. Stone textures and archaeological settings give the expansion a quiet, mysterious atmosphere. The Pokémon-ex lineup includes the three Regis alongside Groudon ex, Kyogre ex, Ninetales ex, and Vileplume ex.

Jirachi is another important highlight, appearing in a set whose title suggests rare Pokémon waiting to be discovered. The expansion also broadens the EX era with a balance of legendary Basics and evolved Pokémon-ex, while Trainers reinforce themes of ruins, islands, and research. Although it lacks a single universally dominant chase card, Undone Seal is admired for its cohesive setting and unusual roster. It captures the exploratory side of Hoenn—the feeling that powerful creatures and old secrets lie beneath the region’s landscapes—and gives the legendary golems one of their strongest early showcases. The English *EX Hidden Legends* closely follows this release but reorganises some cards, rarities, and numbering.
