Generations celebrates Pokémon’s twentieth anniversary with a compact journey through familiar species from every era, especially the original Kanto favourites. Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Pikachu, and the legendary birds appear alongside newer Pokémon, creating a set designed around recognition and nostalgia rather than a single regional storyline. Booster packs were available only in special anniversary products, making each opening part of the wider celebration. Its main checklist is related to Japan’s Starter Pack, while the Radiant Collection was adapted from the separate PokéKyun Collection.

MoreLess

The expansion includes a separately numbered 32-card Radiant Collection filled with decorative patterns, character moments, and playful scenes. Sylveon-EX, Flareon-EX, and full-art Pikachu are among its most recognizable cards, while the main set contains Mega Charizard-EX, Mega Blastoise-EX, Mega Venusaur-EX, and several mythical Pokémon. A connected Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard sequence tells a small story of growing up with a Trainer. Generations succeeds because it combines classic names with warm, expressive artwork. It feels less like a competitive chapter and more like an anniversary album, rewarding collectors with frequent special cards and affectionate references to Pokémon’s history.
