Champion’s Path follows the journey through Galar’s Gym Challenge, with cards connected to the region’s stadiums, Gym Leaders, and powerful opponents. Drednaw, Alcremie, Gardevoir, and the Galarian forms of several familiar Pokémon appear alongside Trainers such as Kabu, Piers, and Bea. Every booster pack contains a holographic rare, and packs were available only in special products rather than standard booster boxes. It has no single Japanese counterpart, instead combining cards from Infinity Zone, Explosive Walker, Legendary Heartbeat, starter decks, and promotional releases.

Two Charizard cards define the expansion: a rainbow rare Charizard VMAX and a shiny Charizard V. Their rarity and popularity made them among the most pursued cards of the early Sword & Shield era. Drednaw VMAX, Alcremie VMAX, and Gardevoir VMAX provide additional collector highlights, while the Gym-themed Trainers reinforce the sense of progressing toward the Champion Cup. The main checklist is relatively small, but secret rares extend the collecting challenge. Champion’s Path is remembered as a focused special set whose ordinary cards document Galar’s competitive journey, while its two Charizards provide an unusually clear pair of top-tier chase cards.
