The master set counts 143 Reverse Holofoil, 124 Normal, 72 Holofoil and 2 more cards once each, in any card. It leaves out 4 Kaya Lichtleitner, 4 Normal sold outside booster packs, 3 Haruki Miyamoto, 3 Henry Brand and 8 more in 7 other printings.

Sun & Moon—Team Up introduces TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX, oversized cards that place two Pokémon together in a shared illustration and attack strategy. Pikachu & Zekrom, Eevee & Snorlax, Celebi & Venusaur, and Gengar & Mimikyu demonstrate how different personalities and types can combine. These cards are exceptionally powerful but give up three Prize cards when Knocked Out, creating a new level of risk and reward. Its card pool combines Japan’s Dark Order and Tag Bolt into one larger English expansion.

Alternate full-art versions use detailed scenes and characterful interactions, making the TAG TEAM cards immediate collector favourites. Pikachu & Zekrom-GX became the defining competitive card, while Latias & Latios-GX gained lasting popularity for its special illustration. The set also includes single Pokémon-GX, Prism Stars, and full-art Trainers such as Erika’s Hospitality. Team Up changes both the look and scale of the game: the strongest cards now tell a story about partnership rather than individual power. That concept, combined with expressive alternate artwork, established the direction for the final year of the Sun & Moon series and remains one of the era’s most recognizable innovations.
