The master set counts 60 Reverse Holofoil, 48 Normal, 32 Holofoil and 1 more card once each, in any card. It leaves out 3 Robin Schulz, 2 Cracked Ice Holofoil, 2 Magnus Pedersen, 2 Pedro Eugenio Torres and 7 more in 6 other printings.

Shining Legends is a special expansion devoted to legendary, mythical, and unusually coloured Pokémon. Mew, Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Celebi, Lugia, and the Unova legends create an exceptionally concentrated roster. Booster packs were available only through boxed products rather than ordinary booster boxes, reinforcing the feeling that every pack contained part of a premium collection. It was largely adapted from Japan’s Shining Legends, with modest changes to card selection and rarity distribution.

The set brings back Shining Pokémon, with cards such as Shining Mew, Shining Rayquaza, Shining Jirachi, and Shining Genesect using textured foil on the Pokémon itself. Mewtwo-GX provides several major chase cards, including a secret rare illustration showing Mewtwo inside a laboratory tube. Entei-GX, Raichu-GX, and Zoroark-GX add further variety, while every pack includes a holographic rare. Shining Legends connects modern collectors to the Shining tradition of the Neo era without directly copying its style. Its small checklist, high concentration of famous Pokémon, and memorable Mewtwo artwork make it one of the most approachable and enduring special sets of the GX period.
