Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates is a special expansion centred on shiny Pokémon from Paldea and earlier regions. Its main set revisits useful and familiar cards from the opening Scarlet & Violet releases, while a large group of shiny cards presents alternate-coloured Pokémon against bright, clean backgrounds. The format turns the video-game hunt for rare colour printings into a wide catalogue ranging from small holographic cards to premium Pokémon ex. The expansion closely follows Japan’s Shiny Treasure ex, although the English checklist is not completely identical.

MoreLess

Shiny Tera Charizard ex, shiny Mew ex, and shiny Gardevoir ex provide the leading special illustration rares, each receiving detailed full-scene artwork rather than a simple colour swap. Dozens of smaller shiny Pokémon form the core completion challenge, while full-art shiny Pokémon ex and gold cards create additional tiers. The set also includes playful illustration rares featuring Pawmi, Palafin, and Wugtrio in their shiny forms. Packs were sold through special products rather than conventional booster boxes. Paldean Fates combines the frequent rewards of a shiny-focused set with the richer illustration style of the era, making it both accessible to open and demanding to complete in full.
