Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together brings Trainer’s Pokémon back to the centre of the TCG. Rather than representing a species alone, cards such as N’s Zoroark ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex, and Hop’s Zacian ex highlight the bond between a Pokémon and a recognizable Trainer. The artwork draws from several regions and stories, giving the expansion the feeling of companions reuniting for a shared journey. It was largely adapted from Japan’s Battle Partners, with modest changes to card selection and rarity distribution.

MoreLess

Each Trainer’s group includes supporting Pokémon and cards designed to work together, allowing character identity to influence complete deck strategies. Special illustration rare versions show the featured pairs in detailed scenes, while illustration rares expand the relationships beyond the headline Pokémon ex. N’s Zoroark ex and Lillie’s Clefairy ex are among the main collector attractions, with Iono and Hop providing contrasting personalities and play styles. Journey Together marks a shift away from purely regional or Tera-focused themes toward character-driven collecting. By reviving an idea last seen in different forms during the Gym and Pokémon SP eras, it connects modern artwork and mechanics to one of the TCG’s oldest storytelling traditions.
