Black & White—Dragons Exalted introduces the Dragon type to the English Pokémon TCG. Dragon Pokémon receive their own card colouring and typically require combinations of different Energy types, reflecting their unusual power and rarity. Rayquaza, Giratina, Hydreigon, Garchomp, and the new Unova dragons form the set’s core, with skies, ancient structures, and dramatic battles dominating the artwork. The English release brings together cards from Japan’s Dragon Blast and Dragon Blade in a single checklist.

MoreLess

Rayquaza-EX and Giratina-EX are the headline cards, while Mew-EX, Ho-Oh-EX, and Registeel-EX broaden the legendary lineup. Garchomp and Hydreigon support distinct evolution-based strategies, showing that the new type was not limited to Basic Pokémon-EX. Secret rare versions of Serperior, Reuniclus, Krookodile, and Rayquaza add alternate-coloured collector targets. The introduction of Dragon cards is the expansion’s lasting contribution, creating a type that would recur in several later eras. Dragons Exalted combines that mechanical milestone with one of the strongest rosters of powerful species in the Black & White series, making it a natural favourite for collectors drawn to legendary and dragon-like Pokémon.
