The master set counts 52 Normal and 43 Holofoil. No card comes in more than one of them, so the master set is the same size as the full set.

Ancient Roar, released in 2023, introduces Ancient Pokémon as a defined card category, led by Roaring Moon ex and other prehistoric Paradox Pokémon. Rugged wilderness, primal energy, and Professor Sada’s research give the release a deliberately untamed identity.

MoreLess

Roaring Moon ex and its special illustration rare are the headline cards, supported by Scream Tail, Brute Bonnet, and Ancient-themed Trainers. Its rarity structure encourages collectors to follow both headline Pokémon and smaller illustrated stories. The expansion therefore works well as a self-contained binder project as well as a chapter in the wider history of the game. Its mixture of familiar Pokémon and period-specific presentation makes the full checklist more revealing than a glance at the chase cards alone. Ancient Roar was combined with Future Flash and Raging Surf to form the English Paradox Rift expansion.
