The master set counts each of its 92 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 76 First Edition, 76 Unlimited, 16 First Edition Holofoil and 16 Unlimited Holofoil.

Released in 2002, The Town on No Map explores remote settlements, forests, ruins, and Pokémon encountered beyond familiar routes. The set’s quieter atmosphere suits the wide e-Card artwork, which often treats the landscape as an important part of the scene.

Crystal-type cards, expressive illustrations, and early appearances of popular species give the expansion lasting appeal. Many illustrations extend naturally into the wide lower border, making complete binder pages especially striking. The result reads coherently in a binder, with recurring subjects and visual ideas linking everyday cards to the rarer highlights. It also provides a useful snapshot of the design, storytelling, and collecting priorities that shaped this period of the Japanese game. Together with Wind from the Sea, it supplied most of the material later reorganised into the English Aquapolis expansion.
