The master set counts each of its 63 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 54 First Edition, 54 Unlimited, 9 First Edition Holofoil and 9 Unlimited Holofoil.

Cry from the Mysterious explores remote Sinnoh wilderness, ancient cries, and legendary Pokémon hidden beyond ordinary routes. The set mixes powerful evolved species with myths tied to lakes, mountains, and places that feel removed from civilisation. Released in 2008, it gives that theme a clear place within the wider era.

MoreLess

Several Pokémon LV.X and legendary cards provide the headline attractions, while the art emphasises exploration and untamed landscapes. The result is a checklist that feels closely connected to Sinnoh’s myths, locations, and new evolutions. Its mixture of familiar Pokémon and period-specific presentation makes the full checklist more revealing than a glance at the chase cards alone. Viewed as a complete checklist, it balances headline cards with supporting Pokémon and artwork that reinforce its central identity. Its cards were later combined with Temple of Anger to create the much larger English Legends Awakened expansion.
