The master set counts each of its 99 cards once, in any card. It leaves out 99 Unlimited, 87 First Edition, 87 First Edition Reverse Holofoil, 85 Unlimited Reverse Holofoil and 24 more in 2 other printings.

EX Battle Boost acts as a large end-of-era booster focused on powerful reprints, accessible deck staples, and a broad celebration of Black & White mechanics. Pokémon-EX, legendary Pokémon, and familiar Trainers appear together in a dense, varied checklist. As a concept pack, it favours a concentrated visual or narrative idea over the breadth of a standard expansion.

Gold Reshiram and Zekrom, full-art Pokémon-EX, and reworked favourites provide the strongest collector appeal. Its clean black-border full arts helped define how premium Pokémon cards would look for years afterward. Viewed as a complete checklist, it balances headline cards with supporting Pokémon and artwork that reinforce its central identity. The result reads coherently in a binder, with recurring subjects and visual ideas linking everyday cards to the rarer highlights. Much of the set became the main body of the English Legendary Treasures expansion, alongside the separate Shiny Collection cards.
