Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade travels to Kitakami, a rural region of festivals, masks, folklore, and hidden identities. Ogerpon appears in four masked forms, each represented by a different type of Pokémon ex, while Bloodmoon Ursaluna, Sinistcha, and other local Pokémon connect the set to The Teal Mask. Lanterns, mountain paths, orchards, and traditional clothing give the artwork a warm but mysterious atmosphere. Its card pool combines Japan’s Crimson Haze and Mask of Change into one larger English expansion.

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex is both the narrative centre and an important gameplay card, supported by the other mask forms and Trainers that help them work together. Special illustration rare versions of Ogerpon, Greninja ex, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex, and popular characters such as Carmine provide the main collector highlights. The expansion also introduces Festival Lead strategies, tying several ordinary Pokémon to Kitakami’s celebrations. Twilight Masquerade is one of the most location-driven Scarlet & Violet sets: its cards feel rooted in a particular community and legend rather than a broad regional survey. The contrast between colourful festivities and the truth behind Ogerpon’s mask gives it a strong narrative identity.
