Legendary Collection revisits the earliest years of the English Pokémon TCG through a curated selection of cards originally seen in Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, and Team Rocket. Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, the Eeveelutions, legendary birds, and Dark Pokémon all appear together, making the set feel like a condensed celebration of the Kanto era. It has no direct Japanese counterpart and was created specifically for the international market.

The expansion is best known for its reverse-holographic cards, which use an intense fireworks pattern across almost the entire card surface. Every regular card could be found in this form, turning even common Pokémon into visually striking collector pieces. Reverse-holo Charizard is the headline card, but complete reverse sets are admired for their bold, unmistakable appearance. Standard holographic and non-holographic versions offer more traditional ways to collect the checklist.
