Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising takes the Mega Evolution Series into the neon-lit streets of Lumiose City, where Mega Floette ex has thrown the city into turmoil. Mega Greninja ex leads the response, joined by Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Dragalge ex, and other powerful Pokémon. The nighttime urban setting gives the expansion a darker and more dramatic identity than many traditional Pokémon sets. The expansion closely follows Japan’s Ninja Spinner, although the English checklist is not completely identical.

For collectors, the main attraction is its strong Mega Evolution lineup: five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and five additional Pokémon ex. The set also includes 11 illustration rares, 18 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards, and six special illustration rares. Several ultra rare Mega Evolution cards feature silhouettes of the Pokémon’s original forms, adding a distinctive detail to their artwork. Mega Greninja ex is the headline card, while Mega Floette ex provides the central threat and much of the set’s story. Overall, Chaos Rising combines powerful cards, striking city-themed artwork, and a focused Mega Evolution narrative, making it an appealing expansion for both players and collectors.
