HS—Triumphant concludes the main HeartGold & SoulSilver series with a mixture of legendary confrontation and experimental Lost Zone gameplay. Dialga, Palkia, Darkrai, and Cresselia connect the Johto era to Sinnoh, while Gengar and other cards interact with the Lost Zone, an area from which cards cannot normally return. The result is a finale that feels more strategic and mysterious than the expansions before it. Its checklist combines Japan’s Clash at the Summit with part of the smaller Lost Link set, whose remaining cards later appeared in Call of Legends.

MoreLess

Gengar Prime, Magnezone Prime, Mew Prime, and Celebi Prime are among the best-known cards, each offering distinctive abilities and strong collector appeal. Dialga & Palkia LEGEND and Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND provide the two-card showcases, with panoramic artwork emphasizing the opposing legendary pairs. The set also contains several popular Pokémon in both Prime and standard forms, creating multiple levels of rarity to pursue. Triumphant is remembered for pushing the era’s mechanics toward unusual win conditions and high-impact combinations. It closes the series not with a simple Johto celebration, but with a broader clash of dimensions, legends, and competitive ideas.
