Diamond & Pearl—Legends Awakened gathers an extensive roster of legendary and ancient Pokémon into one of the largest sets of the era. The lake guardians, Regigigas, Heatran, Giratina, and several legendary Pokémon from earlier regions appear alongside powerful evolutions such as Mamoswine, Yanmega, and Magnezone. Its artwork moves through caves, temples, volcanic areas, and other places where dormant powers might be disturbed. Its card pool combines Japan’s Cry from the Mysterious and Temple of Anger into one larger English expansion.

MoreLess

The expansion contains a particularly deep group of Pokémon LV.X, including Regigigas LV.X, Giratina LV.X, Mewtwo LV.X, and the three lake guardians. This abundance gives collectors many headline cards and gives the set the feeling of a major mid-series event. It also highlights Sinnoh’s habit of connecting new mythology to older legendary Pokémon, rather than treating each region in isolation. Legends Awakened is broad rather than narrowly themed, but its scale is part of its appeal. It presents the Pokémon world as a place filled with sleeping or hidden powers and offers one of the richest legendary checklists in the Diamond & Pearl series.
